Ein Wettlauf gegen die Zeit Die „Herren“ vom Planeten Sark unterdrücken die Bewohner des Planeten Florina, einer Agrarwelt. Dort wird Kyrt produziert, eine fluoreszierende Faser, die nirgendwo sonst im Universum hergestellt werden kann. Als ein Weltraumanalytiker von der Erde herausfindet, dass Florinas Sonne kurz davor steht, zu einer Supernova zu werden, wird er zu einem Risiko für die „Herren“.
